KFM, SLE and Vanguard get shortlisted as a finalist for the HSJ Partnership Awards 2022

KFM is delighted to announce that alongside SLE and Vanguard, our project ‘Delivering the UK’s first fully crash-tested transport trolley system for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCH)’ has been shortlisted for two categories at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2023. The categories, Procurement Project of the Year and Most Effective Contribution to Patient Safety recognises the team’s outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.

Being shortlisted for a HSJ Partnership Award in two categories has ensured that this lifesaving work as well as the hard work and dedication shown by our teams and partners, is nationally recognised.

The project highlights how KFM partnered with two UK suppliers, SLE Ltd and Vanguard, to deliver a bespoke and innovative solution for the replacement of four neonatal transport incubator trolleys for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Denmark Hill.

This partnership resulted in the successful design and development of the UK’s first fully crash tested transport trolley system for critically ill neonates. This fully specified product, filled a gap in the market and is directly impacting positively on patient safety and clinical efficiency with best practice shared across the market and implemented in other NHS organisations.
