News & Updates

An LLP fully owned by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, King’s Interventional Facilities Management (King’s IFM) provides fully managed services including procurement, equipment, logistics and the supply chain for diagnostic and treatment facilities for the Trust. Kings IFM was established two years ago to deliver a fully managed service which would free up clinical staff time and provide improved value for money. With an annual turnover of £70m and employing over 150 staff, King’s IFM also manages the procurement of an additional £400m of annual spend across all sites within the Trust.

This is a new and innovative model of service delivery in a dynamic emerging market and the aspiration is to grow the business both by adding the provision of other managed facilities services within King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and potentially, in time, providing services to other organisations. With the appointment of Andrew Lockwood as Chief Executive, this is an exciting time for the first independent Chair to help the executive team shape the growth and success of the company. The incoming Chair will lead the Board, ensuring the strong governance, guidance and oversight of King’s IFM around an ambitious and bold agenda. The Chair will cultivate relationships with King’s IFM’s diverse stakeholders, ensuring the company is well placed to deliver high quality services across a growing number of areas and partners. The successful candidate will bring a track record of non-executive and executive leadership experience gained in complex, commercially-minded organisations. The initial time commitment for this role is set to be 4-6 days a month, after six months it will scale down to 3-4 days a month. This is a remunerated role.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to King’s IFM on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit using reference YAAAUA. Alternatively email or telephone +44 (0)20 7227 0880 (during office hours).

Applications should be received by noon on 6th August 2018.
